Bill Deuchler

Founder & Chief Investment Officer

Bill founded AlphaOmega Advisory Group with the vision to provide comprehensive advisory to family offices, institutions, non-profits, individual investors, and investment firms. He has a unique background spanning both the GP and LP worlds, with significant fiduciary responsibility.

He has served as the independent, board-elected trustee for the Winter Park (Florida) Police Pension Board since 2016.  Along with his fellow board members, Bill is responsible for the administration and investment activities of the pension plan, including investment strategy, asset allocation, and manager selection across all asset classes. 

Previously, Bill was the Chief Investment Officer for two family offices, where he led the investment teams and was responsible for all investment-related activities.  Additionally, he was the senior executive at both family offices, which involved various strategic and operational roles such as those typically allocated to a CEO, Executive Director, and/or COO.  He has also served on several investment and finance committees for non-profit organizations, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, International (now Breakthrough T1D). 

His start in the asset management business was as President and Chief Operating Officer of Vantage Consulting Group, a Virginia-based investment consulting firm focused on bespoke investment advice to institutions and an early pioneer in hedge funds, private equity, and resilient portfolio construction.    Bill has also served on Outsource Chief Investment Officer teams advising a wide range of clients from HNW individuals to health care systems.  Additionally, he has held senior positions at both traditional and alternative investment management firms. 

Currently, in addition to his work as Trustee, Bill is serving as Treasurer, Chief Investment Officer, and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors for The Peace Train, Inc. and The Peace Pledge, Inc., for-profit and non-profit organizations dedicated to promoting and resourcing the best work towards global peace.
